Damn, I want more of TS’s double domains! Freaking awesome!

I was so upset that they took the comic out of the TS vs Shrek Battle. By right, all 5 of them attacked TS simultaneously and not one after another. In today’s scene, there’s absolutely zero interaction between all of them but in the novel, you can feel how unsettled and helpless Mubai and Fatty were when TS craftily took away one after another of their teammates.

But I forgive you Tencent! As long as you give me the imposing and intimidating TS. Just let him unleash his Deathgod Domain and his Blue Silver Domain more often!

I swear that DG Domain and the images of TS with Asura wings almost gave me a stimmy lol. I 🤦at the 'one at a time' match with TS. The whole point of that scene was TS's victory over a coordinated attack. I always loved Oscar's reaction after getting the sleeper, "Fuck me, Xiao San, you're too despicable."🤣

Tornado Wave - a giant whirlpool area attack. He couldn't break TS's BS/Boundless Nature domain or golden threads, so his only option was to deliver overwhelming spirit power that TS couldn't absorb. He fails obviously, but that's another TS 8th ability spoiler.

so Tang san has 3 domains? one more from him reaching stage 70? If he adds rings to his tang hammer soul will he gain a 4th domain?!

Currently his Blue Silver Domain — Majestic Nature evolved from his original innate domain after he reached the spirit avatar state (level 70).

Similarly, his Deathgod Domain has also evolved. It’s no longer the same as the one from Slaughter City. This evolution is “crucial” in the future for his Asura inheritance which directly crosses out other potential candidates like Hu Liena and Tang Hao because TS’s Deathgod Domain evolved the most.

As for Fatty who happened to gain a domain when he reached level 70 is all thanks to the snake neidan that complemented his phoenix’s attributes. But it’s not considered an innate domain because he can only use it when he’s in his spirit avatar form.

Normally a domain can only appear under 2 conditions:
- either it’s an inherited/innate domain
- or after the person reaches level 90 and above in very rare circumstances. The author explained that domain is gained mostly through some kind of understanding or enlightenment of one’s power just like Sword Douluo. So it’s not exactly soul ring dependent.

That was also the reason why Tang Hao pushed his son to Slaughter City to get that DeathGod Domain because no one can guarantee a domain even after they break through level 90. Hope I’m not adding to your confusion.

Oh thanks for the explanations!! I skimread the novel when I caught up with the anime about a year ago :) I think skipped almost entirely the final fight so I can enjoy it in the anime but otherwise Im somewhat familiar with the direction of the story.

I thought they all gain a domain automatically at 70. And that the royal blue silver domain is another extra domain. Aaaah makes sense.

Thats insane then. So actually domains are quite rare and valuable, almost like soul bones! Daaaamn Tang San is a huuuge pay to win player haha, hes paid his way to have all powers possible that free to play players skip on :D

Interesting that his Slaughter Deathgod domain EVOLVED? When and why did that happen, do you remember?

It happened so often that I lost count how many times his DG domain evolved. If my memory serves me, his first DG Domain evolution was right after he gained XW’s ring. Instead of just intimidation/suppression (which was the default ability of DG Domain, TS’s domain can materialise and destroy everything in its path (just like the scene with the 1st trial: stairs climbing).

As it evolves, it will inherit more and more abilities and power of the Asura God. The concept is the same as the Seagod trials though the approaches are different.

But the very nature of the domain is the death aura itself. The domain’s power increases with the number of people TS kills.

Oh so that means just about everytime the anime showed the Slaughter Kind Domain it showed its evolution rather than the domain : ))

Have you read the Soul Land 2? the follow up manga for this? The MC there starts with a 1,000,000 year old beast its crazy. The best enters him willingly, so thats first ring :0

I have read all the DD sequels there are. My fav is still the first one. DD4 is a disaster, DD3 has the coolest FL, DD2 is just about passable and now the author is still writing DD5 (which is bearable surprisingly).

The shorter ones are actually better: DD2.5 and DD3.5. I don’t like DD2 or rather I don’t like the MC. The soul ring concept of DD2 is not bad but the MC is not compelling enough. The MC is my least fav among all of the DD series. Of course, the main reason is because the author went cuckoo and turned against the very character that made him famous: TS. He literally stepped on TS in order to pull his MC up. As for this first ring, it will only give the MC what his body can endure (it’s something like TS’s 5th ring), it grows with his power.

To start off with, DD4 is the longest among all the DD series. It’s like a never ending story with a OP MC and a sci-fi wannabe writing style.

I’d rather read/watch Star Wars or any of the Marvel series than to read from a Chinese author who is making up illogical things as they go. There’s no more soul ring in Douluo Continent or the likes. What you have is mecha, body armour, spaceships and god-knows-what.

If you think TS is OP in DD, wait till you read DD4! The MC has practically everything laid out for him. What’s more, he became the most powerful god in existence. Yes, even TS the wise old grandpa can’t beat his grandson. Fancy reading a long-winded story with close to 1800 chapters? Get started with DD4, it will last you a while for sure. 😉

uhhhh I would still read it but you mentioned mechas, I always disliked those things for some reason. I find nothing cool about them. What a shame. When they activate their rings in the DD1 anime it looks so freaking epic and one of the reasons I kept watching since episode 1 when I discovered it randomly and had no idea how good it would be. She tried to pull a JoJo where they switched from Hamon to Stands but from cool soul rings to mecha?! that's just going backwards!

I never thought of that but yes, it's similar but I think the domains in Jujutsu are more powerful, like no way a domain can control space in DD. If there's anything that comes close in terms of suppression, it would be the DeathGod Domain I guess, because that one originates from the Asura God.

Now that is what I call an OP MC, and wow is the power of his domains reaching much higher levels of power compared to before, but I must say, the Sea God trials are taking quite a while, and I'm honestly worried about what would be the situation is in the Tian Dou Empire once they come back.

But this is good, because unlike other Manhua's or series', the events continuously unfold and worsen, rather than the MC and all coming back at the exact time where things are taking a critical turn.

Tang San was looking BEAST in this episode!!! When he unleashed the Domain with him in that chair with that evil smirk I was just fangirling like crazy!! I just wanted this episode to keep on going with this really cool battle!! I am not hip on all the attacks and can't name them but that doesn't stop me from enjoying how amazing this is!! I was on the edge of my seat for the whole second half of the episode and was super bummed that it was over before I knew it!! Just say that this episode was AWESOME!!!!!

They ended way too early.

The key to this fight was finishing asap before his opponent could use his 9th skill. Why then did ts (who is an experienced combat genius) only use ranged attacks and domains? 🤨

It’s not mentioned here in the donghua but TS was trying to help Oscar because he needs to battle Seahorse Douluo as part of his 5th test. Each of the 5 devils need to challenge one titled douluo while TS needs to take on all of them by himself.

So TS was trying to tire him out and even injure him to give Oscar a fighting chance. Not sure if they will change the plot line for next week, basically Oscar plans to go right after TS.
